The King’s Cart plays off of the diverse and interesting history of Waihe’e.
The piece incorporates elements of this land throughout time: from the days of chief Kahekili, to dairy production in the 20th century and the denied golf course proposed by the Japanese in the early 90’s. Once a center for politics, fishing and war, The King’s Cart combines eras and creates a new mythology where the elitism of royalty meets at the 19th hole of an imaginary country club.
